Burrito baby Max was quite the charmer with his smiles.
Pre-shift appetizers with EM residents as I transitioned from neurology to the medical ICU.In a whirlwind drive to the desert, I caught up with my parents on their "Sponge Tour" road trip. Soaking up sun by the pool, fun times hanging out with the Wilsons, and dining at the Kohl's lovely home made me almost forget my day job.
On the way back to LA I stopped at an art show featuring the work of high school classmate Stephanie Smith (now Meredith).
Then my parents caught up with Adam and me in the South Bay. Before they headed out of town we went to the hilltop Getty Center.
We took in views of LA, toured the museum's highlights, and strolled in the manicured gardens.
We were fortunate to catch Vermeer's visiting masterpiece Woman in Blue.
On March 16th Adam and I ventured down the coast to San Diego for a seaside wedding.Adam's grad school friend Brandon said "I do" to fiancee Nina in a ceremony filled with science-y puns fit for a couple whose attraction grew over test tubes and research papers.
In the next stop on our SoCal marine life tour, Adam and I visited the Long Beach Aquarium.
It was a tough call deciding which sea creature was the most captivating: playful penguins, clever sea otters, or the camouflaged leafy sea dragons.
